Re Massive Attack's cover art - you may want to look into Kafka's "Metamorphosis" which is a story about an ordinary man who wakes up one morning transformed into (metamorphosis) into a hideous beetle like creature...Kafka doesn't offer any explanation. "Massive Attack" could be referencing the short novel which is also very dark and iconic.
